Job Responsibilities
The Department Head reports to the Dean of Nursing and is assigned to teach courses in his/her field of expertise. The Department Head is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of curriculum, evaluating personnel and maintaining the educational integrity of the program within his/her academic purview.Minimum and Additional Requirements

This position requires a master's of science in nursing. Candidates must also have a current SC RN license, teaching experience in an associate degree program, and a minimum of three (3) years of progressively related experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred candidate will have a master's degree in nursing education. Ideal candidate will have related management experience, hiring, training, and supervising adjunct faculty, as well as supporting the dean with scheduling, budgeting, advisory committee participation, and curriculum development. Applicants must demonstrate significant experience implementing nursing curricula using TTC procedures, leading divisional improvement initiatives, and developing evidence-based projects. Candidates will have the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic information technology environment. This position demands accountability, creativity, and professional discipline for independent work. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are essential for success.
