Job Responsibilities
Join our dedicated team in the Scholars Network TRIO Student Support Services program, where you will play a key role in promoting college access, retention, and completion through high-impact advising, academic planning, and student engagement. The Student Success Advisor provides individual and group advising to enrolled TTC students who are in the Scholars Network, a TRIO Student Support Services Project, a federally funded program serving students who have academic needs and meet specific low income, first-generation, and/or disabilities criteria. The advisor coordinates the First-Year Experience (FYE) Early Intervention Initiative and provides specialized assistance to a significant percentage of the program's first-year students.Minimum and Additional Requirements
This position requires a bachelor’s degree and student services experience. This is a grant position with the TRIO program.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in counseling, Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Experience advising college or high school students in academic planning or career development.
- Prior involvement with TRIO or other federally funded student support programs.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Technologically proficient in student data tracking and reporting systems.
- Knowledge of college access and retention strategies for underrepresented student populations.
- Experience in academic advising, career development, and workshop facilitation for college or high school students.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, technology, and customer service skills.
- Experience with TRIO programs or similar federally funded initiatives is a plus.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Must be detail-oriented, adhere to deadlines, and maintain confidential and accurate records.
- Occasional overnight travel for professional development conferences and trainings.
