The preferred candidate will have the following:

• Certifications: Security+, Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCST, Cisco CyberOps Associate or better.
• Other relevant cybersecurity certifications are also considered a plus.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF) and best practices for implementing secure systems and processes.

• Knowledge of system and network security for common operating systems and local area networks.
• Experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM solutions, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners.
• Experience with vulnerability management and threat mitigation strategies.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of information risks concepts and principles.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.
• Ability to understand, write, and carry out complex technical procedures.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
