The Project Advisor/Transfer Coordinator provides individual and group counseling to enrolled TTC students in the TRIO Student Support Services Program, a federally funded program serving students who meet specific low-income, first-generation, or disabilities criteria and who have an academic need. This individual also provides specialized transfer advisement and assistance to the program's participants, which is critical in meeting transfer and graduation objectives.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree and experience in student services programs. The preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in guidance, counseling, education, administration, or a closely related field and (1) one year of experience in an educational environment. This position is a grant position and the salary is commensurate of a salary range of a pay band 5 $38, 985-$45,760.

Ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in guidance, counseling, education, administration, or a closely related field and have related experience with TRIO programs. Experience working with first-generation, low-income, and disabled students, along with experience in student assessment with academically disadvantaged populations and TRIO programs, is highly desirable. Candidate will have experience in academic advising and financial aid, as well as providing individual and group counseling. Successful candidates will have student services experience facilitating workshops on college life, financial aid, and/or career counseling. Experience working with educationally underserved communities and students with disabilities, as well as career and academic advising college or high school students, is a must. Excellent customer service, leadership, and organizational skills are essential.
