Event Manager assists the Director of Conference Services with taking reservations and coordinating all events and Conference Service Operations. Works with varied customers and vendors who use the facilities. Assists in arranging details of events with set up staff and food service contractor. This position works with the Culinary Institute of Charleston in a variety of responsibilities as part of the CIC division. The position requires a high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent Customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential. Candidate must have previous event planning experience. Knowledge of the Delphi operating systems is preferred. Knowledge of general office practices, procedures and filing systems: display self-direction, leadership, cooperation, attention to detail, and initiative; and able to work effectively with administrative support staff, management, and internal and external customers and vendors is a must. This position must be able to lift 20 pounds.
