Job Duties:

  • The ES Eligibility Team Leader plans and is responsible for the daily administrative functioning of the Economic Services Program in the Charleston County office and directly supervises all eligibility staff tasked with determining eligibility in the SNAP, TANF and ESAP programs.

  • Ensures Economic Services Program unit operates in accordance with all state & federal laws, regulations, policies and guidelines; performs monthly case reviews to ensure compliance with program policy.

  • Supervises staff responsible for providing services to TANF, SNAP and ESAP clients. May have some supervisory responsibility for case managers.

  • Timely performs the required number of case reviews monthly for each worker.

  • Ensures that all client data is correctly entered into the required systems and that all management reports are carefully monitored and utilized to manage the employees.

  • Represents the agency in meetings wither service providers, local business and industry leaders and their appropriate community contacts are required. Participates in statewide trainings.

  • Effectively communicates, and manages expectations for service delivery, customer service, and accountability.

  • Directs supervision to include but not limited to conflict management, training new hires, effective communication, regular staff meetings, and employee recognition.

  • Ensures that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. To protect the agency networks and applications.

  • Participates in Red Cross training and shelter duty or other emergency shelter/duty as directed.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned/required.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare or Behavioral Science and one (1) year of experience in Economic Services programs.

A Master's Degree or higher in Social Work, Social Welfare or Behavioral Science may be substituted for required experience.
