Job Responsibilities

Trident Technical College is seeking a Supply Specialist III to support receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, mail services, surplus property management, and event support activities within the Division of Finance & Administration. This position assists with coordinating the receipt, distribution, inventory, storage, and movement of supplies, equipment, furniture, and other institutional assets across college locations. The Supply Specialist III plays an important role in ensuring materials and equipment are received, tracked, delivered, and maintained efficiently to support college operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Receive, inspect, verify, and distribute incoming equipment, supplies, and packages, ensuring shipments are accurate and free from damage.
- Process receiving transactions, maintain appropriate documentation, and enter receipts into computerized systems to support inventory management and payment processing.
- Coordinate timely delivery of equipment, supplies, and materials to faculty, staff, and departments across the college.
- Assist with the development, maintenance, and implementation of inventory control processes for institutional equipment, furniture, and supplies.
- Support institutional relocation projects, including moving furniture, equipment, and materials between buildings and campuses while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Set up and break down facilities for special events, meetings, registration activities, seminars, graduations, and other college functions.
- Sort, process, and deliver incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail in accordance with postal regulations and college procedures.
- Assist with warehouse operations, inventory organization, storage management, and surplus property disposal activities
- Serve as backup support for receiving and surplus property functions and assist with training or directing temporary employees assigned to operational activities.
- Maintain productive working relationships with faculty, staff, vendors, and external partners while providing responsive customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
This position requires an associate degree in a related field or a high school diploma and two (2) years of related work experience. A valid SC Driver's license is required.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in receiving, shipping, warehousing, logistics, inventory control, or supply management operations.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices, warehouse operations, and asset management procedures.
- Experience operating inventory management or computerized tracking systems.
- Ability to operate standard and automatic transmission vehicles and forklifts.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and establish productive working relationships with employees at all organizational levels.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, perform extensive standing and walking, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Additional Comments
Must be available to serve as essential personnel during severe weather and emergency situations, including after hours and weekends.
