SUMMARY:

Responsible for designing, building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, and other items using different types of materials including wood and steel. Ability to work in a Team Build environment with project management staff and meet all required safety standards.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

• Work with blueprints or other contract documents.
• Work with instruction from Supervisor.
• Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, fiber cement or drywall.
• Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures.
• Demonstrate skill with hand and power tools.
• Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.
• Work on top of stilts, ladders, and the top beams of buildings.
• Check work along the way to ensure it's up to code and specifications.
• Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.
• Work with prefabricated buildings.
• Install cabinets and molding.
• Install doors, door frames, and hardware
• Create structures for pouring concrete.
• Erect scaffolding.
• Replace panes of glass, ceiling tiles, and doors.
• Install partitions, doors, and windows.
• Move and install machinery.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends if required by project schedule
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by Superintendent or Project Manager

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, the individual in this position must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required.

EDUCATION. TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• First Aid
• CPR
• OSHA 10
• Forklift Training
• Scaffolding Competency Erector/User

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have the ability to climb heights, ladders, and scaffolding and lift up-to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to walk jobsites extensively (6-8 hours per day) and navigate through construction area(s).

REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL APPLICANTS:
