SUMMARY
This individual is responsible for the execution of work for assigned construction projects. This includes providing overall technical direction on projects, enforcing company and project policies, maintaining customer interface, and ensuring the project is constructed in accordance with contract documents, budget, and schedule.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES and tasks
- Lead all trades on the jobsite and direct all activities onsite.
- Schedule the work to effectively manage the project schedule.
- In conjunction with the Project Manager, draft all subcontracts and schedule all trades required on the construction project to achieve the project schedule.
- Review and be familiar with contractual requirements such as change management, notice provisions, reporting requirements, billing requirements, etc.
- Provide quality assurance reviews and incorporate quality control inspections.
- Manage site safety hazards and controls.
- Provide technical assistance and oversight of subcontracted and self-perform work.
- Review, analyze, and resolve constructability issues and discrepancies. Interface with Project Manager, A/E, owner, and subcontractors for solution to keep the project moving forward.
- Provide interpretation of plans, details, and specification for subcontractors and craft foreman.
- Establish initial benchmarks and layout needed to ensure adherence to project documents. Provide review of layout completed by subcontractors.
- Review all construction documents to include drawings and submittals as it applies to the work. Keep an up to date as built set of documents onsite.
- Act as liaison with clients and A/E contracts and Owner to facilitate construction activities.
- Responsible for completion of project on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular project meetings and responsible for recording and distributing agendas and minutes for meetings.
- Manage crew as required and act as foreman if crew/project size dictates.
- Enter weekly time for themselves and crews for payroll administration.
- Provide daily project log to track workforce staffing and work activities, issues, and communications.
- Plan and direct all quality control activities and requirements throughout the project.
- Plan, direct, and supervise all workers to be in compliance with Trident’s Safety Manual and OSHA requirements and uphold Trident’s commitment to a safety culture across all projects.
- Stay current with changing technology, including software programs. Use computing skills to navigate electronic project files and to set up meetings and communication electronically.
- Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures and have working knowledge of company HR policies.
- Mentor and train other Trident employees assigned to you or your project.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by General Superintendent, Senior Project Manager, or Executive Management
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, the individual in this position must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required.
Education/Technical Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other similar field and minimum five (5) years construction experience required or equivalent number of years in the industry.
- OSHA 30 certification and First Aid certification
- Ability to interpret documents such as safety requirements, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- In-depth knowledge of construction drawings, costs, and principles.
- Ability to read and understand the contract documents.
- Proficiency in email communication when appropriate.
- Ability to work days, nights, and weekends as required by project schedule.

Physical Requirements
- Must have the ability to climb heights, ladders, and scaffolding up to 50’ tall and lift up-to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to walk jobsites extensively (6-8 hours per day) and navigate through construction area(s).
