Position Summary: This position provides support for all compliance functions within the Quality Control (QC) Laboratory. The role will assist QC Lab Management in activities surrounding compliance to corporate policies and laboratory procedures. The QC laboratory compliance associate performs specific duties and responsibilities based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) to ensure the consistency and quality of the product.

Responsibilities

  • Assists QC Laboratory Management to ensure that gaps in QC Laboratory procedures and practices are addressed as needed to be compliant with current and new/revised standards, regulations, and policies.
  • Coordinates QC Laboratory training with QC Laboratory Management as requested.
  • Provides support with the drafting, writing and update of QC Laboratory documents (SOPs, WIs, TMs) and specifications (FPSs and RMSs) as needed.
  • Works with LIMS Manager/Regulatory Business System Analyst in ensuring changes and updates to QC Laboratory documents and procedures are updated in the LIMS.
  • Adheres to company safety requirements, ensures laboratory compliance with safety requirements.
  • Tracks the receipt of ordered laboratory supplies and follows up on undelivered items requested by QC Laboratory management.
  • Maintains inventory of laboratory supplies requested by QC Laboratory management including but not limited to primary standards, reagents and solutions.
  • Verifies LIMS data entries.
  • Is committed to impartiality and confidentiality in all aspects of laboratory activities, informs management when risks to impartiality and confidentiality are identified and supports taking steps immediately to minimize such risks.
  • Is knowledgeable of the applicable provisions of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and maintains knowledge base on an ongoing, timely basis as procedural changes occur without relying on management intervention or direction.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Ability to can add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals.
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Raises issues and concerns promptly and offers pragmatic solutions for consideration.
  • Documents and presents work in a clear, accurate, and concise manner.
  • Develops and delivers on assigned objectives within requested timeframes.
  • Possesses good interpersonal skills and engages others in a positive manner.
  • Possesses strong attention to detail.
