This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminium manufacturing solutions.
Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for using Radiographic techniques to evaluate the properties of materials, components, or systems without causing damage
- Utilize Film and Non-Film Radiographic inspections to verify parts are in compliance with customer engineering requirements
- Perform process control tests, set-up parts and operate X-ray equipment, process film and/or IP, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results
- Conduct system performance checks in accordance with applicable process standards
- Provide necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees
- Perform audit surveillance on non-destructive inspection processes and initiate and document any non-conformances according to specification, process, and procedures
- Be capable of self-direction during off-shift work periods (weekends, nights, holidays, etc.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 2+ years related work experience
- MS Office Suite skills
- 120+ hours of formal classroom training to include Film and Non-Film Radiographic inspection (Must be able to provide documentation)
- 40+ hours of Radiation Safety Training
- NAS 410 NDI level 2 or level 3 certification (must be able to provide documented proof)
- Must have the ability to work any shift.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Associates degree in Non-Destructive Testing
- Aerospace Industry experience
- Radiographic weld inspection experience
- Previous Quality Assurance experience
- Possess IRRSP certification

Summary Pay Range - (Level 3): $68,100 - $104,400
