Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Fabrication is seeking a First LineManufacturing Manager (Level K) to join our Interiors Responsibility Center (IRC) team onsite in Ladson/North Charleston, South Carolina.
This role leads our Fabrication team that builds interior commodities for the 787 Airplane Program. We are looking for an experienced manager to oversee a multi‑disciplinary manufacturing group, ensuring efficient operations, high-quality production, and continuous improvement in a collaborative environment.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage employees across multiple manufacturing disciplines
Develop and execute business plans, policies, procedures, and technical strategies
Coordinate with support organizations to ensure policy compliance
Lead, coach, and influence the team to achieve goals
Secure resources, oversee supplier technical management, and drive process improvements
Build and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports
Approve technical approaches, products, and processes
Mentor, develop, and motivate employees
Promote a culture of safety, quality, continuous improvement, and teamwork aligned with Boeing values & Behaviors
Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment:

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course 'Exploring Leadership'
3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support
3+ years of experience advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet organizational goals
Ability to optimize organizational structure and operating rhythm to meet strategic goals
Willingness to work any shift based on business needs
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
3+ years of experience leading teams
3+ years of experience in lean processes and initiatives
Experience collaborating cross functionally and influencing positive change
Experience in Fabrication leadership

Shift:
This position is for a variable shift (shift 4). Variable shift means you will be assigned a shift at time of hire based on business needs. You will remain on your assigned work shift until a re-evaluation is required. Shifts assigned for training may differ from your permanent work shift.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $111,350 - $150,650
