Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a BSC Engineering Design Center Sr. Manager (Level L) to join the BSC EngineeringSite Transformation and Future Readiness organization in North Charleston, SC.
The Boeing South Carolina (BSC) Engineering Design Center's Mission is to support the site's business priorities and BSC Engineering by attracting, developing and retaining the best team and talent. We do that by enabling environments for the team to be excellent innovators, creators and problem solvers. This is a multi- disciplinary group that thrives in establishing and celebrating technical excellence while planning and solving for the future. Strong Technical, Relational and Operational Leadership is required for this role.
Position Responsibilities:
Collaborates with the 787 Program, site, and enterprise on engineering strategy
Ensures engineering excellence through development and production system engagement
Responsible for engineering learning, development and functional excellence through upskilling, technical enrichment and enterprise strategy engagement
Responsible for design support for BCA, BDS and BGS
Responsible for our University Relations and research portfolios, Innovation Cell and KEY's ( Knowledge and Empowerment for Your Success) which includes engineering and factory rotations
Leads fellowship engagement across the BSC site
Leads people development strategy and responsible for leading first line managers
Manages and executes to budget, staffing, and metrics that evaluate the health of the business
Inspires and empowers the team through collaboration, communication, and caring
Builds and nurtures a welcoming culture by seeking different perspectives, speaking up, and actively listening to teammates and stakeholders
Aligns with Boeing’s Values and Behaviors, ensuring an emotionally safe work environment where employees can freely and proactively raise safety, quality and schedule concerns as soon as they are known
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
3+ years of leadership experience
1+ years of experience with the Boeing Production System
Able and willing to travel domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with team building, developing and motivating employees
Strong communication skills and working directly with executives or senior leaders
Ability to adapt to a changing statement of work

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $170,000 to $230,000
