Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Cabin & Cargo Systems Senior Manager (Level L) to join the 787 Engineeringteam in North Charleston, SC.
As the Senior Manager, you will manage employees and first-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, specifically in support of the development, installation and certification of Cabin Systems features for the 787.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Develops and implements integrated departmental plans to ensure business, technical and customer requirements are achieved
Forecasts, obtains and manages personnel, facilities, services, equipment and tools to meet project and departmental requirements
Coaches, counsels, mentors and provides developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities of first-level managers and others within their department
Establishes partnerships and relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, suppliers, peers and direct reports
Establishes and/or implements policies, procedures and documents to ensure consistent execution of processes within department in support of Boeing and regulatory requirements
Enforces company rules and policies regarding ethical behavior, safety, security, use of company property, time charging, etc.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
8+ years of experience in aviation or aerospace
3+ years of management experience managing technical and/or engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of full-time aerospace industry experience do you have within Avionics, Electrical, Software, Cabin Systems, Inflight Entertainment Systems, or Electro-Magnetic Effects
3+ years of experience integrating within a global supply base and product value streams
3+ years of experience with Boeing Commercial Airplanes
Knowledge of Boeing products and processes
Knowledge of aircraft Cabin and Cargo products
Experience with commercial aircraft certification processes and regulations
Proven ability to lead with the Boeing Values
Demonstrated ability in team building, coaching, and employee development to enhance team performance and engagement
Solid technical background with the ability to guide and mentor the team

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $170,000 - $230,000
