The Boeing Company is seeking an exceptional Senior Manager of Culture and Engagement, to lead our enterprise cultural transformation and employee engagement strategy. This critical leadership role will oversee 10+ regional culture and engagement leads, driving cultural maturity and organizational excellence across all regions. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with deep expertise in organizational development, change management, and stakeholder engagement at scale. They will also have excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging for globally dispersed audiences and cultures.

As the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing enterprise-wide strategies that cultivate an environment reflecting our organizational values and behaviors, ensuring employees worldwide feel engaged, supported, and proud of their contributions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate vision into actionable programs while building capability within a distributed team of regional leaders.

This position can be based in North Charleston, SC, Arlington, VA, Ridley Park, PA or Jacksonville, FL.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of 10+ regional culture and engagement leads, providing strategic direction, operational support, and coaching

  • Build leadership capability within the regional team to advance cultural maturity across geographic markets

  • Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among regional leads to ensure consistency while respecting local cultural contexts

  • Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular development conversations with direct reports

  • Create a high-performing team culture that models organizational values and behaviors

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global strategy for culture transformation aligned with organizational vision and goals

  • Partner with Employee Listening teams and stakeholders to assess organizational culture through surveys, focus groups and interviews

  • Analyze global and regional data to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for cultural improvement

  • Create long-term strategic roadmaps that drive cultural maturity while enabling regional customization

  • Ensure alignment of culture initiatives with overall business strategies and regional objectives

  • Design and implement enterprise-wide programs that promote employee engagement, satisfaction and retention

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to create initiatives recognizing and rewarding employee contributions globally

  • Lead the development of scalable engagement solutions adaptable to regional needs

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement initiatives, making data-driven adjustments

  • Drive innovation in engagement practices by staying informed on industry best practices and emerging trends

  • Lead large-scale change management efforts related to culture transformation, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement

  • Develop training materials, toolkits, and resources to support regional leads in executing cultural initiatives

  • Partner across the organization to cultivate a culture of accountability to values and behaviors

  • Provide change management guidance and support to regional teams navigating cultural shifts, ensuring sustainability and embedding initiatives into daily operations

  • Collaborate with corporate communications to promote cultural initiatives and engage employees worldwide

  • Act as a culture ambassador, representing organizational values in all communications and interactions

  • Present culture and engagement strategies to senior leadership and key stakeholders, developing compelling narratives that inspire commitment

  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners and external experts

  • Establish global key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of culture and engagement initiatives

  • Utilize data analytics to track trends, inform decision-making, demonstrate return on investment (ROI), and create dashboards for visibility into regional performance

  • Report progress to senior leadership with actionable recommendations for continuous improvement

  • Drive a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the culture and engagement function

  • Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in organizational culture, employee engagement, or organizational development roles

  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing teams (direct reports), including managing managers or leading distributed teams

  • Experience leading large-scale transformation and change initiatives in a complex, global organization

  • Experience developing and implementing long-term strategies aligned with organizational goals

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Willing and capable to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field

  • Professional certification in change management (e.g., Prosci, ACMP, CCMP) or related disciplines

  • Experience in Human Resources (HR)

  • Experience partnering with senior leadership and influencing at the executive level

  • Experience interpreting complex data sets and deriving actionable insights

  • Experience with employee listening platforms, engagement measurement tools, and HR analytics systems

  • Experience with culture assessment methodologies and diagnostic tools

  • Experience in organizational psychology, behavioral science, or related fields

  • Experience managing budgets and resources across multiple geographies

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $163,200 - $235,750
