Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Experienced or Senior Quality Production Specialist to join the Factory Core Quality Assurance Investigation (QAI) Team based out of North Charleston, South Carolina. Please note this is for a 1st shift position.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides guidance for reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements

  • Oversees the analysis and evaluation of the quality of products, operations, and processes. Guides the review of production plans.

  • Applies advanced knowledge of aerospace design, systems, and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.

  • Guides or provides assistance in the root cause analysis of nonconformance. Verifies the accuracy of analysis results by consulting with other authorities in the technical field.

  • Establishes process and product improvements by implementing technical initiatives.

  • Oversees the process of problem resolution to ensure effectiveness of the Quality Management System.

  • Provides oversight of the corrective/preventive action plans to assure timely completion.

  • Reviews and oversees approval of Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes.

  • Provides direction for validation of corrective action to assure causes of nonconformance has been eliminated.

  • Monitors the groups' performance of the verification activity.

  • Creates formal analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal /external distribution.

  • Works under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience working with Quality and/or Safety Corrective Action/Preventative Action (CAPA), Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA).

  • 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

  • 5+ years of experience data mining, analyzing data, and presenting findings

  • 5+ years of experience in a Quality role

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Word).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 7 or more year's related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with RCCA, CAs, Quality Investigations, BPSMs

  • Aerospace and Manufacturing experience

  • Experience with Quality Management Systems

  • Material Review Board (MRB) experience

  • Experience presenting and communicating to leadership

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

Summary pay range: $83,300 - $112,700
