The Interiors Responsibility Center South Carolina (IRCSC) organization is seeking an Experienced Technical Specialist to join the Design Engineering Team within the IRCSC located in North Charleston, South Carolina.
This role will support the Interiors Design Engineering Leadership Team with daily operation, administrative tasks, and engineering initiatives. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with an expectation of working with minimal to no guidance.
Position Responsibilities:
- Works in North Charleston South Carolina IRCSC within the Interiors Design Engineering Team.
- Analyzes potential custom interior requests and compiles impact assessments from applicable Design Engineering teams and determine overall organizational impact.
- Works within and provides assistance in with processes and tools to support the integration of engineering data.
- Facilitates technical dialog with Design Engineering teams to determine accuracy and completeness of impact assessments.
- Demonstrates a continuous-improvement mindset while performing daily activities.
- Produces tip sheets, and documents best practices.
- Supports the development of a unified approach to Pricing and Offerability strategy across multiple airplane programs.
- Provides ad-hoc assistance to the Engineering DE community to accomplish business priorities
- Builds and maintains vital business relationships between business units Configuration, Multi-functional Engineering teams, Business Operations, Leadership.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, South Carolina.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience in an engineering or management support role
- Proven experience as an effective communicator
- Ability to take the initiative and lead with senior leaders
- Prove experience working with and collaborating with executive leadership
- Experience with recent Boeing commercial airplane programs
- Engineering design concepts and techniques
- Process and Project/Program management skills
- Experience with formal/informal training and/or customer service
- Obsession with quality
- Experience working in CATIA and ENOVIA
- Experience with digital visualization tools
- Proficiency with REDARS and IVT
Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Masters +4 years' related work experience, 10 years related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $89,100 - $108,900
