Sportsman Boats, is looking for a Pre-Mill Construction Carpenter who will work with the milling operations team in the fabrication of wood and foam plugs and plug builds. These plugs are a vital part in the production of Sportsman Boat's new product lines.

What you will do:

• Assist in set up of 5 axis machines for milling large complex parts
• Fabricate large wood platforms for new plug builds
• Work with EPS foam, tooling board and other composites to construct plugs to be milled
• Follow CAD drawing specifications for detailed foam layouts
• Work with chemicals including epoxy putty, spray glue and 2-part foam
• Operate a fork lift
• Keep work area clean and organized at all times
• Follow safety standards at all times
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

What you need to have:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and work instructions
• Possess good mechanical aptitude, good manual dexterity, knowledge of tools and their use
• Experience with carpentry operating air/hand tools, drills, saws, and grinders
• Task oriented, demonstrated ability to learn, work independently, and under instruction as needed
• Strong attention to detail
• Comprehension of chemicals used in this process
• Good eye sight
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English
• Able to work overtime when necessary
