Summary
The role of the Post-Closing QC Specialist is a detailed checkpoint in the mortgage lifecycle to maintain loan quality. The critical function of this role is to ensure all outstanding conditions were met by reviewing and evaluating the loan requirements for documents received. This process is vital for preventing costly errors, reducing compliance risks, and protecting both investors and borrowers. The Post-Closing QC Specialist will have ownership of all assigned tasks and duties as well as leadership of assigned projects and initiatives and have a thorough knowledge of the mortgage loan process, mortgage loan documents and compliance requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for reviewing closed mortgage loan files for compliant accuracy, consistency, and completeness of signatures, dates, and additional critical data points for all portfolio and secondary market loans including conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and construction to permanent loans
Responsible for validating system data to closed loan document data
Responsible for documenting errors, reporting them in a detailed workflow process, and communicating them effectively to the responsible parties for potential correction
Complete required checklists/worksheets and review Encompass Reports
Work closely with Sales, Processing, Underwriting, Closing, Booking, Imaging, Servicing, Mtg Suspense, and Shipping & Delivery

Qualifications
Education Requirements
BS in business or equivalent education and/or industry specific training and/or experience
Minimum Experience
5+ years mortgage experience required. Prior experience with Encompass and Director Software systems is preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Able to communicate effectively
Supports Post-Closing Manager with special projects and assignments
Research any file discrepancies and facilitate solutions with a sense of urgency
Assist with final trailing documents when needed
Review and respond to exception reports, internal and external audits, as required
