Job Summary:
The Returns Processing Clerk is responsible for handling all products and shipment returns.
Job Level:
Entry Level
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Verify all items returned to the warehouse and take the appropriate action with each.
- Coordinate with the proper personnel to ensure excellent customer service and that all returns are processed in a timely manner.
- Work overtime as necessary.
Job Qualifications:
- Experience working in a warehouse/distribution center.
- Candidate must have previous experience working in quality assurance.
- Demonstrate great initiative. Work independently, requiring little supervision. Eagerness to learn new things and strive for improvement.
- Must have outstanding attention to detail matching and verifying product information accurately.
- Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and do basic mathematics. Understand and respond to written and oral instructions in English for safety, work instructions, policies, etc. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Exercise proper discretion when met with challenges.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and within time constraints is required.
- Must meet and maintain performance standards set by the company.
- Computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with AS400 software are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Forklift certification a plus (will train if necessary).
- Enjoy working in a team environment.
- Lift to 50 pounds regularly.
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Environment:
- Approximately 100% of the time performing job duties is spent indoors in a warehouse with limited heating or air conditioning.
- Approximately 75% of the time is spent on the computer.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The temperature of the work environment can be equal to the outside temperatures of the area.
Physical Demands:
- Occasionally lift from overhead or below the waist.
- Occasionally bend, twist, push, pull, climb, squat, crawl and kneel.
- Frequently reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stand and walk; grasp with hands and fingers; and lift (up to 50 lbs.).
- Continuously sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Machines, Tools and Equipment
- Continuously use copier, fax, printers, and 10-key calculator.
- Continuously use writing instruments, computer and telephone.
