Role Overview
We’re looking for a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to help accelerate our growth. This is an entry-level sales role with tremendous room for advancement. As a BDR, you’ll be the first point of contact for prospective clients—building relationships with restaurant groups, hotels, event venues, and other hospitality operators.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in prospecting, outreach, and sales strategy while working closely with our leadership team. For the right person, this role is a launchpad into a successful career in sales, account management, or leadership—both within shiftNOW and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Prospecting & Outreach
- Research and identify potential hospitality clients through inbound leads, outbound prospecting, and industry networking.
- Conduct high-volume outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, and in-person visits to generate interest.
- Lead Qualification
- Engage with prospects to understand their staffing needs and challenges.
- Clearly articulate shiftNOW’s value proposition and qualify opportunities for the Account Executive/Director team.
- Pipeline Development
- Set qualified meetings and demos for senior sales leaders.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, activities, and progress in CRM.
- Collaboration & Growth
- Partner closely with Account Management and Support to ensure a seamless handoff of new clients.
- Share feedback from the market to help shape our product roadmap and sales strategy.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of sales, business development, or customer-facing experience (hospitality industry experience a plus, but not required).
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to engage decision-makers.
- Comfortable with high-volume outreach and building relationships from scratch.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Passion for hospitality, technology, and creating win-win solutions.
