This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a strong understanding of electrical manufacturing, the ability to work effectively with multiple departments, and the ability to balance daily production demands with long-term process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage daily Electrical Department operations, including personnel, workload, production priorities, scheduling, and resource allocation.

· Lead electrical shop production of wiring harnesses, battery cables, power distribution panels, and vessel electrical assemblies.

· Support boat production from electrical installation through final delivery, providing technical guidance on wiring, system power-ups, troubleshooting, and electrical system verification.

· Partner with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Vendors to resolve issues, coordinate priorities, and maintain production schedules.

· Coordinate the transition of electrical designs, engineering changes, and new products into efficient manufacturing processes.

· Manage electrical purchasing, vendor relationships, material availability, lead times, and critical component forecasting.

· Create and maintain electrical part numbers, BOMs, manufacturing information, and inventory data within the ERP system.

· Monitor departmental labor, material costs, purchasing, forecasts, and P&L performance.

· Develop manufacturing processes, work instructions, time standards, quality procedures, and systems that improve productivity, consistency, and scalability.

· Track projects, engineering changes, production issues, and departmental action items through completion.

· Lead department meetings and participate in cross-functional manufacturing and management meetings.

· Supervise, train, and develop electrical employees while maintaining standards for safety, quality, productivity, and accountability.

· Assist with electrical design, prototyping, system integration, and design-for-manufacturing decisions when required.

· Ensure completed electrical systems are tested, operational, and meet company and applicable marine industry standards prior to vessel delivery.
