Description
SRC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced MBSE Specialist to join our team supporting the Software Defined Radio Solutions (SDRS) IPT. This role will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and practices across a variety of SDR projects.
Job Duties:
- Developing system models using Cameo Systems Modeler and SysML
- Managing requirements and configuration within MBSE models
- Conducting technical analysis and design
- Supporting SDR product and platform development
- Championing MBSE adoption
- Mentoring other engineers
- Contributing to continuous process improvement
- Ensuring the successful implementation of MBSE practices within the SDRS IPT

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of Eight (8) years of experience in systems engineering
- Minimum of Five (5) years of experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools
- Proficiency in Cameo Systems Modeler (or equivalent MBSE tool) and SysML
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and the system development lifecycle
- Experience with requirements management tools and techniques
- Experience with configuration management principles and practices
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Skills
- Experience with military communication systems (especially SDR)
- INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with open architecture industry standards such as Sensor Open System Architecture and OpenVPX
- Experience with EW threat analysis
- Strong presentation skills and experience presenting technical information to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior engineers
- Experience contributing to process improvement initiatives
- Publications or presentations related to MBSE or systems engineering
Clearance Information
SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
Travel Requirements
- Travel for this position is expected to be minimal; however, occasional trips within the continental United States (CONUS) may be required to attend technical meetings, conferences, or support specific project needs. The frequency and duration of such travel will be infrequent and determined on a case-by-case basis
