Description
South Carolina Financial Solutions (subsidiary of South Carolina Federal Credit Union) is currently seeking a Full- Time Investment Solutions Sales Assistant to join our team of outstanding professionals in the Charleston Metro Area.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Enhance production levels of Investment Advisors by supporting the development of new accounts and relationships.
- Provide high quality service to existing members/clients and provide administrative and operational support.
- Manage educational program for financial centers staff to promote identifying investment prospects, engaging in appropriate conversations and how to turn prospects into qualified referrals.
- Provide the client with information pertaining to securities transactions in which client wishes to perform or is considering performing.
- Support the production of the Financial Advisor by servicing the needs of clients as well as performing tasks of a clerical and/or administrative nature to include:
- Monitor Annuities coming out of surrender
- Process required minimum distributions (RMDs)
- Maintain accurate client contact records
- Contact potential and existing clients to enhance production and pipeline for Financial Advisors.
- Maintain an active prospect list and professionally correspond with clients or potential clients to build long-term relationships.
- Assist with managing Advisor pipeline to ensure there are no outstanding requirements to complete the sale.
- Assist with opening SC Federal IRA accounts as needed and maintain a strong working knowledge of IRA processes and regulations.
- Advise clients as to the status of orders, applications, and pending contracts as needed.
- Maintain NASD Compliant filing system with all records that are generated when investments are traded.
- Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of Investment CRM.
- Handle Back to Reps (BTRs) when appropriate.
- Responsible for researching and compiling relevant content for monthly Investment Solutions Newsletter.
- Support team and serve as backup to Investment Solutions Coordinator as needed.
- Communicate with clients in a positive manner both in person and/or by telephone.
Minimum requirements include:
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Possess a minimum of two years of similar or related experience within a financial service environment.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully perform duties with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with members and employees in person and by telephone/email.
- Possess advance proficiency working with Windows based programs and Microsoft Office applications, to include adept experience working directly with Excel.
- Possess the ability to quickly learn new system programs and applications.
- Possess direct work experience working with office equipment such as a printer, copier, scanner, fax, telephone, etc.
- Possess the ability to quickly learn new system programs and applications.
- Possess direct work experience taking initiative without being prompted with little supervision.
- Possess interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Possess time management and organizational skills.
- Possess intermediate mathematical skills performing calculations involving adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
