Description

SAIC is seeking a Stock Clerk to join our team in Hanahan, SC.

The Stock Clerk must possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures concerning stocking tasks such as receipts, invoices, weights, updating of inventory, inspection, methods of storage, etc.

Responsibilities Include:

• Receiving, unpacking materials/supplies and reporting damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record keeping purposes; and completing shipping and receiving reports
• Move parts and assemblies within or between various buildings in accordance with Facility manager or facility staff engineer priorities
• Arrange transfer of materials to meet production schedules; examine material to verify type specified for current project; and compute amount of material needed for specific job orders
• Be able to safely complete all of the physical demands of the job in a manufacturing environment, including but not limited to the following:
  • Lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a regular basis
  • Walking, bending, stooping, sitting, standing or squatting for extended periods
  • Walk distances of at least one-half mile daily

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/ GED
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a public trust. Active DoD clearances accepted
