Description
SAIC Is a Supply Technician to provide logistics support at a Customer Site in North Charleston, SC. This position is full time and in person. The successful candidate's primary focus will be procurement, including day-to-day purchasing and supplier management. You will also provide support to logistics and other areas when procurement needs are met. Your responsibilities will include:
Procurement:
- Order Coordination: Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including placing and following up on orders with vendors, buyers, and internal teams.
Supplier Management: Research, evaluate, and establish relationships with potential suppliers, assessing their quality, reliability, and pricing. - Documentation: Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, bids, and allocate bank statements accurately and efficiently.
- Tracking & Reporting: Maintain detailed procurement trackers and generate weekly status reports, ensuring adherence to schedules, compliance, and procurement requirements.
Logistics & Coordination:
- Materials Oversight: Oversee the movement, receiving, and distribution of materials to ensure smooth production processes.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with production, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure all resources are available when needed.
- Shipping Schedules: Prepare and manage shipping schedules while evaluating production timelines to synchronize material flow with operational goals.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and create actionable reports on material status and production records.
Continuous Improvement:
Research industry trends, customer needs, and competitor practices to improve processes and strengthen the organization's competitive position.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma
Experience:
- Five (5) years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or logistics.
- Demonstrated experience working with vendors to ensure prompt and accurate deliveries of goods
- Knowledge of CMPro is required
- Current CAC/ NIWC Badge required
- MUST BE A US CITIZEN WITH THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN A PUBLIC TRUST CLEARANCE
