SAIC has a contingent opening for a Senior Cyber Engineer supporting a large highly visible Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic Data Center and Cloud Hosting Service Program. Ideal candidates are people who thrive in a highly challenging fully integrated government and private sector program team. Candidates must be capable of multitasking, possess highly refined communication skills and who are capable of presenting information in a variety of forums for the program team to include integrated product team level and above.
Work is performed on site in North Charleston, SC. This program is contingent upon award news in March/April 2025.
Qualifications
Required Clearance: Active Secret clearance
Required Education: Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent; and depending on tasking individual shall be certified as Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I (position-based) per DoD 8570.1M.
Required Experience: Eleven (11) years of notable experience preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements. Experience may include plan, implement, upgrade, and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network; assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies; ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure; and respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports.
Specific Experience: Three (3) years of technical experience in support of an enterprise hosting environment either on-premises or in the cloud in support of multiple interconnected systems and enterprise managed services. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
Required Certifications:
At least one (1) of the following: CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).
Plus: relevant certifications as approved by the COR in systems being administered. Additionally, individual shall meet the latest Cybersecurity workforce certification/training in accordance with DoD 8570.1M and subsequent DoD 8140 manual as applicable
