SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician II for our customer site in North Charleston, SC to support the US Navy to install cable, mounting kits and other equipment in radio rooms of new construction submarines.

• Work with others who prepare design drawings and assist with the design, evaluation, and/or modification of machinery and equipment
• Research, design, develop, and test installation of new equipment
• Integrate and fabricate cables

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Associate degree in engineering technology, or formal electronics training from: Technical School, Class A or B Military school in electronics or communications; or four year electronics apprentice program and three (3) years of experience; or High School and eight (8) years of experience
• Must have appropriate experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of digital computers, computer peripheral/ interface equipment, VME based systems, digital, switches, radio frequency transmitters, receivers, antennas, and modems
• Must have at least four (4) years of the last eight (8) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of C5ISR systems, subsystems, and equipment

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

• Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
• Must be a current US Citizen
