SAIC is seeking an Electronics Technician II for our Hanahan, SC customer site.
The Electronics Technician maintains, repairs, troubleshoots, modifies and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment.
The successful incumbent applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skill in restoring equipment operation, evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode, and recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
The Electronics Technician II applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with Installation drawings for electronic equipment, cable fabrication and metal fabrication.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Formal Electronics Training from: Technical School, Class A or B military school in Electronics or Communication, or minimum (4) years electronics apprentice program to include: Installation tasks, Cable Fabrication, Quality Inspections and equipment testing.
- Must be a US Citizen with an active interim secret/ secret clearance.
Desired:
- Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control experience preferred
