The Material Handler is responsible for maintaining production stores inventory, kanban locations, job order grouping, and pulling material for the manufacturing floor. This position will be attached to Production Control and work with the PC1s to ensure job orders and material flow through manufacturing is unimpeded.

• Certified to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
• Know how to navigate an ERP System.
• Ensure product issuance and moves in ERP System are done properly and resolve discrepancies when discovered.
• Receive materials, and supplies and verifies product quantity and quality
• Ensures document record retention requirements are met to support product certification
• Oversee backflush locations
• Oversee Fab shop parts- stock parts, pull panel, sheet metal, extrusion, and raw metal stock. Issue material to set up routers and HAAS for continuous runs on machines
• Ensure manufacturing Kanban locations are replenished
• Oversee dunnage and waste removal requirements
• Oversee and maintain hazardous material and shelf life material.
• Know how to read SDS sheets.
• Perform and resolve inventory issues out on the manufacturing floor
• Resolves inventory and ERP system discrepancies to ensure accuracy
• Manage part shortage and exception list through ERP System and Excel
• Improve material flow through manufacturing
• Perform Part Capture and Control activity to support engineering change incorporation
• Performs various housekeeping tasks to ensure work areas are clean and free of safety hazards.
• Works cooperatively with other employees to accomplish production flow goals.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations when completing job responsibilities.
• Ensure products are packaged per ATA 300 specifications.
• Additional duties assigned by the Production Control Supervisor

Knowledge/Experience
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• The Material Handler shall possess, at a minimum, a High School diploma or GED.
• Worked within an ERP computer system.
• 5+ years' experience in a warehouse, logistics, or other applicable experience

• Ability to communicate with others.
• Able to perform basic mathematic calculations.
• Understanding of customer's expectations.
• Understand and follow written procedures.
• Self-motivated.
• Troubleshooting/problem solving.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task effectively, and work under pressure.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily warehouse work in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Some bending, climbing, grasping and lifting.
• Must be able to lift of up to 35 pounds.
• Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for safe conduct on the manufacturing floor and to meet job responsibilities
