Job Summary:

The Clinical Team Lead position provides direct nursing care for patients in physician practice(s) while providing clinical leadership and education to other clinical support staff within Roper St. Francis Physician Partners physician practices. This position is responsible for facilitating the planning, implementation and evaluation of education activities to other clinical support staff. The Clinical Team Lead must follow established standards and practices in accordance with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act (RN) to provide patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing. BSN preferred.

Experience: At least two years experience as a Registered Nurse. Physician practice experience in support of direct patient care preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina or holds a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized NCSBN Compact State and is not a permanent resident of SC. Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.

Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of the professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care. Knowledge of adult learning theory. Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures to provide patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Skill in preparing and maintaining effective working relationships. Skill in preparing MS Power Point presentations, skill to present/teach and ability to communicate clearly. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with Directors, Practice Managers, Physicians and clinical staff.

Other: Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Constant interaction with internal and external customers to include (but not limited to) patients, families, physicians, employees, and visitors.

Work Demands/Environment:

Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping. Frequent lifting/moving patients. Intermittent lifting, moving or carrying over 50 lbs. Frequent pushing or pulling over 50 lbs. Frequent use of finger/hand dexterity. Constant reaching with hands/arms. Frequent talking or hearing. Corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue. Possible exposure to infectious materials, communicable diseases and/or other conditions common to a healthcare environment. Intermittent exposure to risk of exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Moderate noise level in work area. Requires work under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours. May be required to take call and/or work weekends/holidays based on the needs of the department.
