Job Summary:

The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the coordination of all clinical services provided. The Scheduling Coordinator coordinates the scheduling of patient care visits for both new patients and existing patients with the appropriate clinical staff. The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for data entry of new referral demographic information, assignments, and coordination notes, retrieving information from hospital and physician electronic records. The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that patients are scheduled in a timely manner. The Scheduling Coordinator retrieves all telephone messages related to scheduling of staff and patients. The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for communicating with the leaders, providers and teammates on staffing and coverage issues, reports trends and/or patterns. Encourages and maintains good customer relations with fellow employees, patients, providers in Imaging, as well as referring physicians and office staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High school graduate.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a related setting (home health office setting or as a unit clerk, a scheduler, or a referral coordinator, etc.).

Knowledge/Skills:

Requires a mature individual who projects a professional and business-like appearance. Must maintain strict confidentiality of work-related information. Must have critical thinking and problem-solving skills to successfully manage complicated scheduling of patients, procedures and physicians across the system. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to use routine office equipment including PC, Phone, fax, as well as MS Office software, scheduling programs, etc.
