Job Summary: The Inventory Clerk is responsible for all Materials Management supplies and deliveries to offsite locations. The Inventory Clerk help pull and prepares supplies requests for offsite locations, then delivers to them using the Materials Management truck. Responsibilities also include making special deliveries for Dietary, Linen Services, Environmental Services, Purchasing and other departments upon request. The Inventory Clerk picks up packing slips from offsite locations on his scheduled runs and delivers them to the Receiving Specialist.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school or GED
Experience: Courier or delivery experience preferred
Licensure/Certification: Have valid S.C. Drivers License
Knowledge/Skills: Must be able to operate forklift and pallet jack. Good communication skills. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and make simple arithmetic calculations. Must possess good telephone manners. Good hand-eye coordination. Able to use telephones and copier.
Other: This position requires operation of a vehicle for Roper St. Francis Healthcare business. Due to this job requirement, the selected candidate/employee must possess a valid, current South Carolina driver's license. In addition, the selected candidate/employee must be insurable under the Roper St. Francis Healthcare vehicle insurance plan, which will be verified by reviewing licensure and driving record.

Work Demands/Environment:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping. Intermittent lifting, moving or carrying, pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs. Frequent use of finger/hand dexterity. Constant reaching with hands/arms. Frequent talking or hearing. Corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Minimal risk of exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue. Possible exposure to infectious materials, communicable diseases and/or other conditions common to a healthcare environment. Intermittent exposure to risk of exposure to blood-borne pathogens. In and out of controlled climate areas. May be required to work in inclement weather. Moderate noise level in work area. Requires work under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours. May be required to take call and/or work weekends/holidays based on the needs of the department.
