Transportation Practice Leader (PE)

We are seeking a Transportation Practice Leader to guide the growth and direction of our Transportation Department. This position is designed for a transportation professional who has successfully delivered small and large scale transportation projects, established relationships throughout South Carolina's transportation industry, and has a desire to build and mentor a high-performing team. The successful candidate will lead the strategic growth of the practice, strengthen client relationships, support business development efforts, and provide leadership to the department.

What You'll Do

  • Work with firm leadership to establish the vision, direction, and growth strategy for the Transportation Department, and identify and pursue strategic opportunities throughout South Carolina.
  • Help expand Reveer Group's transportation presence and market share.
  • Participate in long-range planning and business strategy.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with SCDOT, counties, municipalities, MPOs, and transportation stakeholders, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients and industry partners.
  • Identify upcoming opportunities, lead pursuit strategies, interviews, and business development efforts.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor transportation professionals, foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Support career development and succession planning within the department and ensure staff have the resources and support needed to succeed.
  • Provide senior technical leadership, QA/QC oversight on transportation projects, serve as a technical resource and advisor to project managers and design staff
  • Participate in project planning, design reviews, and key project decisions, ensuring projects are delivered with a high level of technical quality, client satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Support project teams in resolving complex engineering and client challenges.
  • Collaborate with the firm's technical leadership to balance project delivery, staff development, and department growth.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 10+ years of transportation engineering experience.
  • Experience with SCDOT and/or municipal transportation projects.
  • Established professional network within South Carolina's transportation industry.
  • Demonstrated success developing client relationships and supporting business growth.
  • Experience leading teams, departments, or technical groups.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred

  • Existing relationships with transportation decision-makers throughout South Carolina.
  • Experience managing transportation practice growth, strategic planning, or business development initiatives.
  • Participation in professional organizations and industry associations related to transportation and infrastructure.
