Elmec Inc. is a commercial aero-structure final assemblies site providing structural parts for a leading OEM in the US.
Quality Control Inspector
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections on project items in accordance with relevant certifications.
- Collaborate with the Site Manager to meet work plans and schedules.
- Address non-conforming items and implement solutions to reduce quality issues.
- Ensure all project tasks and activities comply with standard hours.
- Ability to work in shifts as needed; other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or academic equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- 6+ months of experience using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and go/no-go pins.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge or experience with bonded structures and paint.
- Mechanical engineering technician or practical engineer certification.
- Aircraft/helicopter mechanic or graduate of a professional course in the field.
- Experience working with technical drawings/models.
- Experience with technical English, including reading and writing.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Physical Demands:
This role requires the ability to perform a variety of physical activities, including standing, walking, and working in various positions for extended periods. The ability to lift and handle materials, as well as to climb, balance, kneel, bend, and crouch, is required to access work areas and perform tasks.
Work Environment:
You will be working in a controlled warehouse environment with strict adherence to safety and cleanliness standards. The role may also require working in hangar areas.
Travel Requirements:
Willing and able to travel internationally for paid training, which includes obtaining and maintaining a valid passport.
