Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Production Planner to support the efficient scheduling and monitoring of production activities in our assembly lines and machinery workshop. The ideal candidate will have basic experience with SAP, a methodical mindset, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities, including handling change order requests effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Scheduling: Assist in creating and updating production schedules based on order requirements, resource availability and inventory of raw materials.
- Workflow Coordination: Monitor workflows to ensure timely completion of tasks on the assembly lines.
- Change Order Management: Respond promptly and effectively to change order requests, ensuring minimal disruption to production timelines.
- SAP Integration: Use SAP software to input, analyze, and track production orders, inventory levels, and delivery schedules.
- Material Management: Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure the availability of materials and components.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with the quality control team to minimize defects and ensure adherence to specifications.
- Flexibility and Problem Solving: Adapt to unexpected challenges in the production process and provide innovative solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to optimize productivity, shipment and delivery schedule and reduce costs.
- Reporting: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly production reports using SAP and other tools. Perform basic capacity analysis.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Technology Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field. Equivalent experience is also acceptable.
- Experience: 1–3 years in production planning or a related role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of SAP (Material Master, Production Planning Module preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel -vlookup/pivot functions are a must-, Word, PowerPoint).
- Soft Skills:
- Methodical and detail-oriented mindset.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing production demands.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Exposure to machinery workshops or heavy equipment assembly processes.
- Smartsheet knowledge would be a plus.
