Job Summary:
The Warehouse & Logistics Manager leads daily warehouse operations across three locations, ensuring accurate inventory control, timely inbound and outbound shipments, and compliance with standard operating procedures. This role supervises staff, manages work priorities, and ensures all inventory movements are accurately recorded in SAP. Partnering with cross-functional teams, the Supervisor resolves discrepancies, supports audits and cycle counts, and maintains a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead warehouse staff across three locations (Palmetto Commerce, Leeds, and Ashley Phosphate).
- Set daily priorities, assign work, and ensure adequate staffing coverage.
- Train, coach, and hold team members accountable for performance and accuracy.
- Oversee cycle counting activities and support the resolution of inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate and timely SAP transactions for all inventory movements.
- Maintain inventory accuracy between physical stock and system records.
- Oversee vendor goods receipts are completed timely with accurate documentation.
- Communicate receiving discrepancies to Purchasing and Finance.
- Oversee daily outbound shipments, including booking trucks and coordinating pickups, ensuring shipping paperwork is complete and accurate.
- Enforce standard operating procedures for receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.
- Partner with Purchasing, Logistics, Production, and Finance on material flow issues.
- Support audits, inventory counts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assists other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business or related field
- 5+ years of warehouse or inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong SAP experience required
- Proven ability to supervise and lead teams across multiple locations
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Effective communicator who can work cross-functionally and escalate issues appropriately
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Physical Demands:
- The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to operate basic tools, keyboards or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- The employee is occasionally required to walk frequently, sit; and may also be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
