Job Description
Accountable for an operation within a Division to achieve results identified by the Corporations WIN Strategy and division/business unit Strategy Deployment goals. Leads a team of empowered employees to continuously meet and exceed customer expectations.
Provides leadership for operation employees. Coordinates cross-functional activities that may include any or all the following: Sales & Marketing, Design Engineering, Applications Engineering, Inventory Control and Production. Interacts with current and prospective customers, Sales Representatives & Distributors, all levels of the Division.
To profitably grow the business and achieve Business Unit, Division, and , Corporate goals monthly, quarterly, and annually. Works with current and potential customers to promote and leverage company technologies, systems, products, and services.
Establishes and maintains premier customer service.
Led strategy deployment for the operation concentrating on Lean Initiatives and Sales growth. Leads Manufacturing, Applications Engineering, and Sales/Marketing functions to ensure operational efficiency and economy.
Accountable for driving Lean Initiatives throughout the operation to ensure they are fully embraced and implemented.
Ensures the operation has adequate inventory, production control scheduling, and shipping/receiving logistics.
Develops a budget plan and manages operations within budget constraints.
Maintains familiarity with the competitive environment within the geographical area of responsibility.
Represents the operation at the Business Unit and Division levels.
Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development.

Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business discipline is required; an MBA is desirable.
Minimum seven years of operations experience with budgetary and P&L responsibility (e.g. Business Unit Manager, Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager).
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem-solving/resolution skills and a team focus.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to management, customers, and employees.

Knowledge of the relevant manufacturing, quality, or operations support function would typically be obtained through a bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing-related business or technical discipline, and eight or more years of progressive experience within the specialty area.
Four or more years of increasing responsibility for leadership within manufacturing operations requiring advanced project planning and team organizational skills.
Demonstrated teamwork and team-building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives. Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities.
Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change.
Thorough understanding of production technology, and/or specialty support areas including broad knowledge of business and regulatory environments and trends.
