Basic Job Functions:
Position will consist of rotating shifts and/or days providing coverage for the Tunnel Furnace, Roughing Mill, Finishing Mill, Down Coilers, and Roll Shop. The candidate must work safely in a team environment. Execution of
reliability based maintenance programs to ensure optimum performance of equipment to plant operations in several production units. This position performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of hydraulic and pneumatic, fabrication, and down day planning for equipment.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. 2-year technical degree and/or 4 years of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Mill Experience
2. Thorough understanding of mechanical principles
