Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Warehouse Systems- GA is looking for welders for our Frame department. An ideal candidate will focus on safety, be a team player, and find ways to be improve efficiency and safety.

• Setup gas-shield MiG-welder and weld parts to job specifications

• Use hand tools, clamps, and grinders to perform job tasks

• Complete basic maintenance on welding equipment

• Able to read, interpret, and understand blueprints, drawings, specifications, weld symbols, tolerances

• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, and bolt parts and components as necessary to satisfy technical requirements and create final welded and/or assembled product

• Examine finished products and spare parts and compare them with drawings and quality control documents to determine if specifications and tolerances are met

• Meeting daily production goals

• Follow company safety practices and procedures.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to pass a welding test

• Willingness to work any shift for 8 to 10 hours

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs

• Must be able to lift, push, pull, lean, bend, and squat for an 8 to 10-hour shift
• Attention to detail

• Basic math skills
