Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Berkeley is seeking a leader for the position of Beam Mill Manager. The successful candidate will be a leader capable of ensuring the Nucor Steel Berkeley Team delivers on our commitment to becoming the world’s safety steel company. This leader will establish a clear vision and strategy and empower their team to execute and meet all objectives in safety, quality, costs, productivity, profitability, and environmental. Responsibilities include safely operating our beam mill, developing and growing the team for our future success, understanding and making decisions based on technical and financial data, and achieving results for Nucor. Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively throughout the division to lead, motivate, and inspire as part of the Leadership Team at Nucor Steel Berkeley.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous steel industry experience.
- Minimum five years supervisory, management, or leadership experience.
- Positive recommendation from your general manager and/or department manager
Preferred Qualifications:
- An understanding of rolling theory and structural products and their applications.
- Bachelor of Science or similar technical degree.
