Job Summary/ Key Responsibilities:

Job Summary

Provides general follow up and dedicated customer service on the export documentation belonging to the assigned accounts according to customer’s requirements and MSC’s policies. Facilitates the approach between clients and MSC USA, acting as a first point of contact for any inquiry related to Export Documentation.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Communicates clearly with team members regarding workload, customer particulars, and problems.
  • Liaises between data entry teams and customers to ensure missing information is received and customer’s requirements are understood via Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Provides shipment details and bills of lading to customers when requested.
  • Communicates with overseas agencies to ensure corrections can be applied and cargo is available for release.
  • Updates bills of lading according to customer’s requests with little to no errors generated.
  • Presence required on‑site 5 days per week
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Requirements

Required skills, experience, education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • English: advanced
  • Strong attention to details
  • Organized, efficient, and able to manage time effectively
  • Strong customer service mindset, focused, and responsive
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Great team player
  • Knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software

Preferred skills, experience, education

  • Prior experience in supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, etc.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
  • Must be able to commute to the designated office location
  • Presence required on‑site 5 days per week

Work Authorization

  • Authorization to work in the U.S

This role requires working on-site in the office for five days a week, from Monday to Friday. There is no option for fully remote or hybrid work in this role, unless required off-site duties are being performed.
