Job Description

The Medical University of South Carolina, College of Health Professions, invites applications for a full-time, 12-month non-tenured faculty appointment at the level of Associate Professor or Professor to serve as the Division Director and core faculty member for a developing Master of Science in Counseling with a concentration in Art Therapy program. The Program Director of the Master of Science in Counseling with a Concentration in Art Therapy provides academic leadership, administrative oversight, and strategic direction for a newly established graduate program. The Program Director must possess doctoral-level training, professional licensure, and certification sufficient to meet current and emerging accreditation, state licensure, and clinical supervision standards for both counseling and art therapy. The Program Director is responsible for program development, implementation, accreditation planning, faculty leadership, student success, and continuous program evaluation. The role includes teaching, scholarship, service, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure excellence in counselor and art therapy education.
