Job Description Summary
This Business Analyst II provides database administration and analytical support, including data validation, troubleshooting, documentation, and performance optimization. This position coordinates the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards and automated reports that support departmental decision making, monitors key performance indicators, ensures data consistency across platforms, and provides regular reporting updates to college stakeholders.In addition to data and reporting responsibilities, the Business Analyst II leads support for on campus and off campus classroom technology, including audio visual systems, lecture capture systems, and other emerging technologies used by the College of Health Professions. The role leads technology orientation and training efforts for students, faculty, and staff, supports day to day instructional technology needs, manages service requests, and provides escalated troubleshooting to ensure reliable and effective technology services that support teaching, learning, and academic operations.
Reports to the College of Health Professions IT Manager and operates under general supervision.

Coordinates the design, development, and maintenance of functional dashboards and automated reports to support departmental decision-making. Transforms complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and streamlines routine data processes. This includes monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring data consistency across platforms, and providing regular reporting updates to college stakeholders. Provide essential database administration for the CORE database, including data validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Serve as a technical bridge, collaborating with cross-functional teams, to gather reporting requirements and standardize data workflows.

Leads in orienting students regarding the use of university and college hardware, software, and networking infrastructure. Leads technology training for faculty and staff based on evolving technical systems. Support faculty, staff and students through communications that address frequent technical challenges and integration opportunities for administration, education and research.

Provides day-to-day support for students in the use of laptops and other technology by managing walk-in requests and Service Now ticket requests as needed. Provide other assistance in support of faculty and students in classrooms, conference rooms, labs and shared spaces as necessary.

Manage Service Now tickets and provide timely assistance in support of faculty and staff as necessary. Provides escalated troubleshooting of CHP's hardware and software (including new computer workstations, portable computers, file servers, software, and menu systems) such that users operate with the best technical network services possible. Coordinate tier one troubleshooting efforts with CHP team.
