Job Description Summary
Within the Department of Psychiatry this Database Administrator IlI position will be responsible for the professional services associated with continuous quality improvement of databases to include data collection, data monitoring and cleaning, report development and data visualization, and analysis for projects related to maternal and child health in North and South Carolina. This position will collaborate with various members of the MUSC Psychiatry and Telehealth teams as well as participating OB/GYN clinics and hospital systems across the Carolinas. These services include monitoring, maintaining, and supporting database design; as well as request intake management, data collection, EHR abstraction, data monitoring, data analysis, report writing, and administrative duties. This position will also be responsible for ensuring secure, HIPAA-compliant transfer and storage of all data, as well as taking the lead on any pertinent Institutional Review Board, Honest Broker, or other regulatory interactions related to data acquisition and analysis.Entity

Job Description
FLSA: Salaried
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Job Duties:
25% - Infrastructure development and maintenance. Develop and revise REDCap forms used for data collection and reporting to ensure
accuracy and completeness of data. Update REDCap surveys to reflect evolving data collection requirements. Monitor, maintain, secure, and support databases for data collected. Conduct data cleaning on data collected from REDCap surveys and electronic transfers of EHR data.25% - Data and business analyst. Monitor data entry into REDCap databases and develop REDCap reports to identify and correct errors. Conduct basic data analysis and assist study statistician with analytical reporting. Create quarterly reports to provide feedback to sites on the progress of interventional management of their patient populations. Design and develop dashboards to review and visualize processes and performance of key metrics across multiple clinical sites.
15% - Request fulfillment. Complete requests for analysis and follow HIPAA and security protocols to transfer results to requesters. Manage access to reports and dashboards. Validate statistical methods and output of results with statistician and database administrators.
15% - Attend scheduled project meetings and contribute suggestions for continuous improvement of data processes. Conduct other administrative duties as assigned by supervisor. Communicate with consultants and partnering organizations assisting with data collection activities.
10% - Project management. Compile requests from project investigators to update REDCap databases as needed. Assist with tracking, prioritization and fulfillment of analysis requests from sites. Collaborate with data governance committee to ensure requests are appropriate to fulfil. Work with Center for Telehealth database administrators and IS staff to implement change requests to databases.
5% - Participate in the development of grant applications, conduct literature reviews and utilize Endnote to maintain list of key literature. Create visuals graphics to
supplement and enhance reporting to funders.5% - Participate in the dissemination of project outcomes, including oral
presentations and scientific journal articles. Create posters and oral
presentations for project investigators to present at scientific meetings.
Additional Job Description
Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree and four years experience in automated information or communication system design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing. Related experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
