About Project IMPACT: Project IMPACT (Improving Mission Performance and Community Together) is an innovative initiative launched by the MUSC Health Charleston Division Executive Leadership Team. This program aims to enhance social impact, promote care team member wellness, and advance workforce development and equity in our area. As South Carolina’s only comprehensive academic health system, the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC Health) is dedicated to creating positive change beyond our clinical settings.

Job Description

Internship Overview: We are excited to offer two paid internships for students attending Universities as part of Project IMPACT. These internships are designed to align with our priorities, providing students with valuable, hands-on experience in community health initiatives.

Program Duration: June 1 – August 2026


Key Responsibilities:
• Support the development, implementation and evaluation of community-focused health
programs.
• Assist with outreach initiatives aimed at engaging local universities and underserved populations.
• Help coordinate logistics for program events, including participant management and data

collection.
• Participate in in-person activities at MUSC facilities for approximately 20 hours per week through
out the internship.
• Collaborate with team members to create educational materials and resources for program

participants.
• Attend team meetings and contribute ideas for program enhancement and community

engagement.


Qualifications:
• Current undergraduate student.

South Carolina, preferably majoring in public health, social work, nursing, psychology, or a related

field.
• Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation is required for on-site activities.
• Must comply with all COVID-19 organizational policies, including vaccination requirements and in
door masking where required.

Compensation:
• Interns will be paid $15 per hour and work 40-hours per week for the duration of the 12-week
internship.
