Job Description
Job Description and Responsibilities:
- The pasteurization Technician performs functions necessary to assist the milk bank in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective donor human milk services
- Utilizes requisite equipment, aseptic technique, donor milk processing supplies, and computer systems as appropriate for the procurement, receipt, preparation/milk processing and/or dispensation of donor human milk
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Preparing donor milk for pasteurization including pouring and bottling
- Conducting the pasteurization process
- Documenting and packing milk samples for testing
- Cleaning and preparing lab and related equipment for pasteurization
- Performing routine maintenance of lab equipment
- Data entry
- Stocking of supplies at the start and end of each day
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary work area
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Assist with inventory management and freezer organization system
- Scheduling couriers to pick up orders
Additional Job Description
Education & Experience: A Bachelor's degree and one year work experience; or high school diploma (or equivalent) and 2 to 4 years work experience.
