Job Description
Purpose: To provide technical support to the drug distribution activities of the Department of Pharmacy Services
Physical Requirements:
NOTE: The following descriptions are applicable to this section: 1) Continuous – 6-8 hours per shift; 2) Frequent – 2-6 hours per shift; 3) Infrequent – 0-2 hours per shift
Ability to perform job functions while standing. (Continuous)
Ability to perform job function while sitting. (Frequent)
Ability to perform job function while walking. (Continuous)
Ability to climb stairs. (Frequent)
Ability to climb ladders. (Infrequent)
Ability to work indoors. (Continuous)
Ability to work outdoors in all weather and temperature extremes. (Infrequent)
Requirements:
Education, Work Experience, Licensure, Registry and/or Certifications:
1. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (Include physical and mental demands of the position-attach demands checklist if necessary
If Pharmacy Technician II, requires a high school diploma and successful completion of National Technician Certification exam.
2. LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS (If applicable to position):
Technician Registration and PTCB Certification required or
SC Board of Pharmacy Internship Licensure for SCCP Student/Technician Position
