Job Description Summary
The RN Patient Care Coordinator reports to the Clinic Manager. Under general supervision, provides coordination of care for pediatric patients under the care of Pediatric GI services within the various units of the Children’s Hospital and MUSC Pediatric Clinics. The RN Patient Care Coordinator facilitates care through participation in clinics, individualized goal-directed care utilizing principles and practices of the nursing process, interacts with interdisciplinary team members to achieve desired results, and assumes responsibility for educational programs and discharge teaching required to meet identified patient, staff, and organizational outcomes within the Children’s Hospital and Children’s Services Ambulatory Care.Entity

Job Description
Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing and a minimum of three years related clinical nursing work experience required. Licensure a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state required. Certification as a generalist in a related specialty area by the American Nurses Association (ANA) preferred. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
