Job Description Summary
The candidate will primarily work on a research study funded by the National Institutes of Health that is focused on treatment of cannabis use. The candidate(s) will assist the Principal Investigator(s) (Drs. Rachel Tomko and Erin McClure) and research team(s) in the recruitment of research participants, the collection of psychological research data, data entry, and organizational tasks. The candidate(s) will be directly involved in the collection of questionnaires, interviews, biospecimens, neurocognitive tests, and other research data related to the primary study, as well as potential future research studies that use both in-person and remote data collection methods. The candidate(s) will need to be comfortable in interacting with study participants and members of the study team. The candidate(s) should be exceptionally well-organized and detail oriented.Entity

Job Description
FLSA: Hourly/Non-exempt
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday during normal business hours. Weekend and evening hours may be required occasionally.
Job Duties:
30% - Independently conduct study visits, which include the following tasks: conducting and documenting consent for participants, administering diagnostic interviews, screening potential participants, and conducting Intakes to determine eligibility for research studies. Manage scheduling of therapists for research study visits when necessary.
25% - Enters data into a computerized database in a timely manner. Manage ongoing organization of patient data files. Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation as required by FDA, Institutional Review Board, study sponsors and Good Clinical Practice Guidelines in connection with research trials.
25% - Coordinate and manage tracking of all research participants, which includes screening, recruitment, and scheduling of research participants. Educate potential participants on study procedures at screening visit and ensure their consent to participate is informed.
5% - Handling of biospecimens (saliva, urine and blood), obtaining vital signs and assistance with data analysis.
5% - Keep track of study supplies and inventory to alert Program Coordinator when materials are running low. Maintain study equipment (such as study phones, shipping supplies, etc.) by keeping track of items, maintaining supplies, etc.
5% - Scrutinize on an ongoing basis the effectiveness of study procedures and suggest changes in procedures when indicated.
5% - Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Training & Experience: A bachelor’s degree in psychology, premed, neuroscience, biology, nursing, or other life sciences or health care field is preferred. Prior research experience in a lab, knowledge of REDCap data entry, management, reporting tools, interviewing research participants, conducting structured clinical interviews, neurocognitive tests and collecting biospecimens not required but valued. Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and assure accuracy. The ability to collect, organize, and analyze information in a clear and concise manner.
